Methanol is a useful molecule!
Methanol can also be called wood alcohol. It is biodegradable, it evaporates quickly, and under ordinary conditions it is stable. Classified under Solvent Group 2, methanol has a boiling point of 64.5 degrees Celsius and a melting point of -98 degrees Celsius. Also, Methanol contains all three types of forces: Hydrogen Forces, Dipole-Dipole, and London Dispersion Forces! It's shape is a tetrahedron!Everyday we use methanol! The picture below shows how we use methanol everyday!

It can be used as an industrial solvent and is a vital component in creating materials such as:
- Streptomycin
- Vitamins
- Hormones
- Polymers
- Plastics
- Paint strippers
Methanol is used as an antifreeze in pipelines and windshield washer fluid because it is able to reduce the freezing point of the substance.
Methanol can even extend the life of gasoline! Through methanol injection, when methanol is mixed with water, the power of a diesel engine is increased and the exhaust gas temperature is decreased.
This marvelous product is so amazing because we use it everyday! It is an industrial solvent, it is a necessity in windshield washer fluids and pipelines and it is a great way to extend the use of gasoline! Don't forget about it's interesting properties!
Make a MARVELOUS choice! Purchase Methanol!
WARNING: Methanol should not be consumed, it is poisonous
Methanol is great for fuel, not for food!
Katie, if I had any money, I would purchase your methanol! You are such a great sales person!
ReplyDeleteThe general appearence of your blog is that it is very neat and organized! Your molecular picture is accurate, and good job on drawing it.You definitely have the right polarity of methanol and I liked how you did the math out to show us just how you found the polarity of the bonds. Plus you explained all of the intermolecular forces correctly, which is a plus. And your ad was absolutely amazing, as I have said before!
ReplyDeleteThe general appearance of your blog is very nice. I like how you bolded all of the important words. The blog is explained nicely and orangized into seperate sections. This makes it easier to read. Great job!
ReplyDeleteYou ad was extremly effective. You explained exactly what methanol was used for. The picture also helps demonstrate how often we use methanol. I would definately buy your product.
